Slow down time!

I am now the proud Mommy of 4 girls! Knowing that Marly is our last baby has made me more patient than ever and I have been taking every single thing in. I want to remember every last moment of having a newborn baby, because it is such a blessing and a miracle how wonderful they are. She has already outgrown most of her newborn outfits, which is a shame because I didnt even get to put her in all of them. However, in the past I have been able to put them in storage for my next baby girl. It wasn't final and I would get to pull out the super cute outfits again in a few years. Not this time though....I have decided that I am going to put aside all of my favorite outfits and get them made into a quilt someday.  It is crazy to me how looking at one little outfit can flood my head and heart with so many emotions. I just don't want to forget how absolutely precious my babies are (or were). Maddie is 7 1/2 and is getting sassy, and I think it helps to remember that she was absolutely precious and sweet just a few short years ago. So hopefully if I can get this quilt of baby clothes made, it will calm me down in the years ahead when my girls are  18, 16, 14, and 11 years old. Im not sure when the teenage years will hit hardest, but I want to hold off on them as long as possible. I love my babies! Josh has reminded me several times that I am very blessed and lucky to have gotten the opportunity to do this 4 times...and don't get me wrong, I am very grateful that God gave me the opportunity to take care of 4 sweet children...however, whether you do it once or 20 times, I think when you know you will never have another baby again, its like saying goodbye to something very dear to your heart.

I have also got to experience the life as a stay at home mom for a few short weeks, which has been wonderful. I got to go on a field trip with Kenzie's class to the Abilene zoo, I get to take my girls to school and tell them I love them and have a good day every morning. Then I get to pick them up and ask them how their day was while its still fresh in their minds. I get to do their hair every morning, and help them pick out clothes (although they have many more opinions on this matter than I prefer), and I get to go to school events that happen to occur during the day or shortly after school. I do ask my kids how their days went when I get home from work, but most of the time I am exhausted or I get in so late, that I dont have much time to do anything but feed them, bathe them, and put them in bed.  As a teacher (especially in a different school than my children) I miss anything that happens during the school day, I do not get to help in the planning of parties, or get to eat lunch with my kids at school, or get to go on field trips. Some days it breaks my heart, but then I have to remember that I get to be with 20 of my other kids  (students) on their special holidays, field trips, and birthdays.

At least I got to experience a short stint of the benefits of being a stay at home mom, if even for the last 2 months of school. All I can say is that I will be taking it all in, and trying to make each moment of each day as memorable as I possibly can...because they are only babies once.

So many exciting changes!!!

Maddie started Kindergarten today and she LOVED it!!! I actually heard her tell her new bird that she wished she could stay the night at school cause she didn't want to leave, lol. I was initially worried about waiting to start her until this year, but I found out that 10 kids in her class will be 6 before November and she's not even the oldest student. Also I think her confidence and social maturity are much better than they would have been last year. Kenzie however cried when they left school this morning cause she missed Maddie.

We are in our new house and LOVING it!!!   Can't wait to get fully unpacked and have the other house ready to put on the market so that will be finished and done with, lol....

On another note Josh and I just started a business on the side and we are super excited about it! It's called Genesis Pure and it is wonderful. We have been taking it for a week and both of us have noticed improvements. I personally don't drag when getting out of bed in the mornings and Josh doesn't drag and feel tired throughout the day. I was intrigued initially on the vitamins when I learned that the founder of the company has been asked to come on Dr Oz multiple times, Oprah, the White House, and has a waiting list for 12-18 months for high profile actors and athletes. All his products are 100% natural and organic....no preservatives, no added sugars! We were so impressed that not only are we taking the products we decided it was a good enough product that we would get into the business side too! I have NeVER wanted to do anything like this before, but I really believe this product is worth it! Can't wait to see what the future holds for us and this company :)
If you want to know more you can message me and i can give you more information or if you want to check out the list of products and their benefits visit the link below.

Mothers Day crafts...a little late

This is the stool I painted for my mother in law for mothers day. I spray painted the stool that I got from Hobby Lobby, then diped my kids foot in white craft paint, and then used mod podge to glue the papers down that had their name and age on it. The longhorn and other words are also paper. Then I spray painted a clear coat over it to seal it all in.

This was the mothers day gift I made for my Mom. I spray painted the boards white, then let the kids pick their colors for their feet. I just used a paper plate to spread the paint in. After they put their feet down and it dried I painted in the butterfly body, and painted their name and age.
This is the board I made for my Mother (I would wait till the youngest is old enough to keep hands open, I didnt and you see the blob that came from it, lol.) I painted the board white, pressed their hands with paint on the boards and then used my cricuit to cut out vinyl letters for the words. Then I mod podged over the top to help them stay on. Then added a layer of spray clear coat for good measure.
This is the pitcher that I etched for my sister in law. I used my cricut, vinyl, and glass etching stuff from hobby lobby....I loved etching glass, it looks so cool!!

The first three project ideas came from pinterest of course! So now I am officially a pinterest lover!

It seems like yesterday....

Do you ever have one of those moments where you just stop and take it all in? Tonight as I was putting Landry down in her crib, I just stood in the doorway and stared at my girls. I stood there for several minutes just thinking how lucky I am to have such healthy and beautiful daughters, I am so blessed!! I also realized while standing there that I am 28 years old and have been out of high school for 10 years....it seems like yesterday!

My "little" brother who is actually 24 years old, just had his first son, Jaxon :). Im so proud of him, he is going to be such a great Daddy. It seems like yesterday that I was trying to convince him not to tuck in his shirts so he would look cool, getting aggravated with him because he took up all the room in the back seat of the car, drinking pickle juice shots, watching movies OVER AND OVER while our parents were at work, playing endless hours of war, watching him learn the dances to Men in Black and Billy Madison, and calling in our favorite songs to KIXY.(I could go on all night long!)  I have so many memories of us together as kids and cant wait to see him create wonderful memories with his own little family.

This year has been such a big year and is still getting better! Landry was born March 20th, my nephew Jaxon was born on July 2nd, and my sister in law Lacy is due at the end of July with my nephew Jacody. When I was a kid I loved spending time with all my cousins , and I cant wait to see my girls and their cousins grow up together!

Seaworld

My 3 girls and I relaxing on the super comfy beds at our hotel which just so happened to be about a mile from Seaworld. It was the nicest hotel I have stayed at in a long time, because I am cheap. However, we decided to try a Hilton hotel instead of the usual quality inn or something similar....I dont think I will ever stay anywhere else thats not in the Hilton chain! The beds were super comfy, it was very clean, and the people were very nice!

This is Maddie and Kenzie outside of the penguin house...both sweaty but happy!

One of the resturaunts we went to while in San Antonio was Mamacitas...it is Maddie's favorite!

The girls and I sitting outside our hotel at one of the fire pits watching a movie on the side of the hotel and eating smores! This was also another wonderful perk of the hotel!

The girls were very tired towards the end of the day at Seaworld so we went to the Elmo Rocks show and they were so tired they didnt even get out with the other kids and dance, lol.

This is Josh and the girls outside of the whale show.

For the most part I loved Seaworld! It is very family friendly, and has nursing stations throughout the park whick made my life much easier. We got their when the gates opened at 10 and left when they closed at 9. The girls did awesome and we all had a good time. That being said, there was one horrific moment while we were there. I had taken Landry to a nursing station to feed her and I told Josh to let the girls play at the little playground while they waited. This was all good and well until I got back and Josh came over to me from inside the playground and asked what the plan was. We decided to go grab a bite to eat, so Josh went to get the girls.....Well he found Maddie and of course she had to go potty, so I took her. However he didnt see Kenzie so I told him to go look in the slides since she had already been stuck once while I was gone, I just figured she did it again. So when I get back from taking Maddie to the restroom....Josh has a panicked look on his face and says that she is not on the playground and apparently (unknown to us) there was another gate opening that she must have went out. So I grabbed the first worker I saw and was telling him we couldnt find our daughter, and the face painting guy behind us overheard and said she was in the resturant right next door. He went and got her and out she comes with the biggest grin on her face and a big hug for me....I about lost it!!! For those 5 minutes that we didnt know where she was I was horrified!! I of course started to cry and the really nice worker girl asked if I needed anything (which was sweet). It took about 15 minutes for me just to get a grip. I felt like such a horrible mom!! I didnt want to tell anyone what had happened because I didnt want other people to think I was a bad mom either, but after telling a few people I realized that it had happened to several other people and I knew I didnt think any less of them, so that made me feel a little better.

Other than that we did have a great time though. I was glad that we borrowed a double stroller for the trip, it was a must have! Also we bought all you can eat bracelets that morning, and we got our moneys worth for sure!! We saw everything in the park I think except the sharks, but I guess that leaves us someting to check out next time!
